These are the 5 trendiest festival hairstyles
The festival season has begun and who knows, maybe you’ve already spotted some great looks. Now’s the time to experiment with your outfit and hair, so we have listed 5 of the trendiest hairstyles for you. Keep your Sunday afternoon free and get practising!
All the festival looks are available in the Hunkemöller swimwear collection.
This fun and simple look is ideal when you’re not the best at braiding. Spray a texture spray or dry shampoo onto your hair and make a high ponytail. The only thing you need is a (leather) lace which you tie to your hair band. Wrap it playfully around your ponytail and finish with a thin rubber band. Easy!
Boxer braids are totally now! Also super comfy during exercise, because there’s nothing more annoying than a sagging bun or ponytail when you’re working out. Make a centre parting and then divide half of your hair into three equal portions. If your hair feels very smooth to the touch, it’s best to use texture spray here too. Start braiding at your head and work your way down. You can find all kinds of videos on YouTube that will help you make tight boxer braids!
Do you like a girly look? Then why not complete your outfit with a garland of flowers? Have it made up fresh (note: lasts for 1 day max, depending on temperature!) or buy a fake version which you can use time and time again. All you have to do is spritz with a little beach spray and secure the garland with a few hairpins. Compliments guaranteed!
A herringbone braid always looks good! Put some volume powder on your scalp and model your hair with your fingers. Plait a loose herringbone braid (check YouTube for help) and finish with a small rubber band. To make this look completely festival-proof, buy some small silver or gold rings (a multi-pack of earrings is often cheap) and arrange them playfully in your hair. We love it!
Go all the way! Are you an experienced braider looking for a challenge (and brilliant results)? Then this look is totally for you. Treat your hair with texture spray, grab the front section and twist in a transparent hair band every 5 cm. Carefully pull each section loose to create a bubble effect. At the bottom, tie all your hair together with a hair band and then make a messy herringbone braid. Grab your favourite silk scarf and tie it around your forehead.
