With summer quickly approaching, we could all use some extra tips to help us get into healthy summer shape! With just a couple of minor adjustments, you will feel more confident and ready to wear your bikini in no time. So,do you want to be beach-ready this summer? Then add these tips to your daily to-do list!
1. Eat 5-6 times a day!
Try to eat 5-6 small meals a day and don’t skip any meals (especially not breakfast!). In this way you kick-start your metabolism first thing in the morning and make sure it continues to work all day!
TIP: Eat when you’re hungry, but full = full!
2. Fruits and veggies with every meal
Try to add some fruit or veggies to every meal. By eating fruits or veggies with every meal, you will feel fuller (bye-bye cravings!) but more importantly, you will be getting the right nutrients all day long to feel 100% energetic and allow your metabolism to work to the max.
TIP: Prep your meals beforehand so you get the right nutrition all day long!
3. Move more!
Walk, cycle and take the stairs! It may sound like a cliché but it works, ladies! Try to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. Go for a walk after dinner, cycle to work, walk to the supermarket and forget about the lift!
TIP: No time to spend an hour in the gym? Choose a short home workout!
4. Drink, drink, drink!
Stop drinking fizzy drinks and other sugar-loaded drinks and try to drink only water and green tea. And definitely try to drink 2 litres of water a day!
TIP: Start each morning with a glass of water before breakfast. It is important to rehydrate after a night’s sleep. Take a bottle of water to work with you and make sure you drink it all. There is always time to do drink between your appointments and you can easily take your bottle with you.
5. Sleep tight
Sleep your way to fitness! Make sure you treat yourself to 8 hours of sleep every day. Rest is really important for our body & mind and is a crucial component of your healthy lifestyle. Good luck, girls, and please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or check out the Foodie-ness blog for more tips and tricks. Ready… Set… GOOOO!
