When I (Hunkemöller ambassador Gisèle) go to sleep at night, I am already looking forward to a delicious breakfast the next morning. It really is my favourite meal of the day. Why? Your day gets off to a great start, you get loads of energy and you’re ready for a busy day. But what can you have for breakfast? There is so much to choose from, so I am sharing my top 3 breakfasts with you. Yummy!
Porridge
Hot, steaming porridge. Some people turn their noses up at it, but you can make it so exciting! Porridge is lovely with some cinnamon, almond milk, apple and raisins. It almost tastes like apple pie! And there are so many more variations you can try! One of the benefits of porridge? It increases your concentration! Porridge is rich in soluble fibres that help maintain your blood sugar levels. So you don’t get that ‘after dinner (or in this case, breakfast) dip’.

Admit it, who doesn’t love pancakes? Great to make for breakfast on a Sunday morning when you have a little bit more time. Not just normal pancakes, but pancakes with banana, egg and oats. Mash 1 banana, whisk 2 eggs and add some oats to the mixture. Easy peasy to make and quite healthy! The best of both worlds! They taste delicious topped with some fruit, quark or peanut butter.

Sometimes you just fancy a light breakfast, or maybe you want a quick breakfast you can take with you! This is the perfect solution. Spinach or kale with banana, mango and lemongrass. Add a bit of water and you are good to go! A green smoothie is filling, low in calories and high in fibre. This gives your body a healthy boost of vitamins, minerals and fibres. Add a scoop of whey (e.g. bio whey from Ekopura) and you have had some extra protein. Great for building muscles and you feel fuller for longer. Two birds, one stone! What more do you want?

Love, Gisèle
