Healthy recipe: Oven baked oats
Never, ever do we leave the house without breakfast! Your breakfast ensures that you can start the day full of energy. We were already fans of porridge, but sometimes you just fancy something different, which is why we created this “oven baked” version… and wow! It’s so tasty! This breakfast is filling and therefore also very suitable as pre-workout food, but we think it makes a great breakfast any day of the week.
So, what do you need to do before you can enjoy this delicious breakfast?
First of all, for 1 serving you will need:
– 27 grams of porridge oats
– 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (28 grams)
– 110 ml water
– 1 apple chopped/sliced
– a small handful of raspberries
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon of cake/speculaas spices
– 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
– An oven
– A small oven-proof dish or bowl
Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Mix all the ingredients together, except for the apple and raspberries. Next, add the apple pieces and raspberries, possibly reserving a few to place on top afterwards. Grease the oven-proof dish/bowl using cooking spray or a little oil. Then pour the batter into the dish, place a few more apple pieces and raspberries on top if you wish, sprinkle with a little cinnamon and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
And… ta-da! After 20 minutes you have a delicious breakfast. Enjoy!
