HKMX vs. Fit Dutchies

Elise Groenheijde (@elifood):
Last summer, I changed my eating patterns completely, swapping dry crackers for a colourful nutritional pattern. I wanted to make everything myself… from banana bread to pastas and healthy snacks. Combining this with regular weight training has meant I am working hard towards my goal of lying on the beach this summer with a ‘six-pack’!
Jill Nijhof (@jill_fitfoodandfashion):
I have loved sports since I was a kid. My problem was that I couldn’t find the right sport! Having tried dancing, horseback riding, being a majorette, handball, gymnastics, football and kickboxing, these days I am a fanatic in the gym! I go there around 4 or 5 times a week to work on getting a fitter body and I don’t let myself be ruled by the scales!
Yvonne van Haastregt (@fitfoodhealthyvonne):
I spend a lot of my free time on sports and nutrition, which fits in nicely with my Nutrition & Diet studies. Good health is very important to me, which is why I lift weights around six times a week! I wasn’t feeling comfortable in my skin for a while, so I turned things around. It’s brilliant to be able to inspire others with my passion for sports and healthy eating!
But what is Fit Dutchies exactly?
Fit Dutchies started out as a joke with an Instagram page called @fitdutchies. Jordi Sloots (@jordisloots) wanted to lose weight and motivated himself by posting so-called fitspo on his account. Only some of his friends thought it went a bit too far. That was when Fit Dutchies was born, with the aim of motivating others with realistic pictures. No unattainable physiques of top American sportsmen and women, just fit Dutch people who could be your neighbours. The concept caught on and they launched the website www.fitdutchies.nl! 12 bloggers motivate those visitors daily with inspiring, personal and recognisable stories along with loads of tasty, healthy and easy recipes!
