Hello there, beautiful people!
My name is Gintare and I am an aspiring bodyfitness/ figure athlete from Copenhagen, Denmark. I am a 25 years girl, who is writing her Master Research Paper in Techno-Anthropology studies at the moment.
However, my true passion lies in weight lifting, bodybuilding, or, as I would say, art of body sculpting. Despite the university studies, I am aiming for a personal trainer (PT) and dietitian diploma. I fell in love with fitness lifestyle 1,5 years ago, since then I am living the happiest days of my life.
Bodybuilding changed not only my body shape, but also mindset. I became more self-confident, smiling, appreciating every day of my life. What is more, this sport made me interested in health and nutrition. 1,5 years ago bodybuilding caught my attention because of an idea that I could improve my physical appearance. Now I am sure that benefits one gets from this sport are way bigger. I switched my diet: from eating whatever to cure my bad mood.. to eating towards my goal: to become happier, healthier, stronger, full of positive energy and motivation to do sports. I have already noticed that people, who spend their days actively, eat healthy and have particular goal in mind (does not matter if it is family, education or sports related) are happy, open-minded and tend to inspire each other.
I made a decision. The goal of my life is to inspire others by being who I am, by doing sports and living healthy and active life. I believe that this should be the main focus of my career and future.
Talking about bodybuilding, at the moment I am working out 5 days a week, having two rest days. My workouts consist of different body part splits, lots of stretching and a bit of cardio. My biggest female fitness idols are Ms.Olympia Dana Linn Bailey and Nicole Wilkins. However, I do not compare myself with anyone… despite my own image in a mirror! Yes, my aim is to become better than I was yesterday… stronger, more advanced in sports and personal life!
My personal goal has not changed since I started weight lifting..:
Banana Blueberry Protein pancakes
Makes 2 smaller portions or 1 king-size
-1 scoop Banana protein powder
-1tsp liquid stevia
-3 egg whites
-50g low-fat cottage cheese
-1,5tsp baking powder
- Blend oats in a blender or food processor until it becomes fine flour.
- Add protein powder, stevia, egg whites, banana, baking powder and cottage cheese. Pulse blend until smooth.
- Toss blueberries into the batter and mix using a spoon.
- Place a skillet on medium-high heat, add a bit of coconut oil (you may use olive oil too) and measure out about 2 tbsp of batter per pancake.
- Cook them for about a minute on the first side, and about 45 seconds on the other side.
Honey Nut Chocolate bites
Makes 10 bites
-1/2 cup raw cashews
-2-3 tbsp sunflower seeds
-a bit of salt
-2 tbsp cocoa powder
-a bit of water
-1 tbsp honey
-optional: dried berries, I would recommend cranberries
- Blend all ingredients together very well.
- Roll the mass into balls and put into the freezer to make that firm. Balls are ready to serve within 15-20 minutes. Store in the fridge.
