My name is Carmen and I’m 20 years old. At the moment I’m a high school student and I want to become a Health & Lifestyle coach in the future! Whether my followers are young or old, I always excite and motivate them through my blog and instagram account (@carmenketelaar) to have a healthy lifestyle. By this I mean loving tasty & healthy food, to work out more often and above this all… admiring yourself!
My ‘fit journey’ started actually with food. I endured for a long time from a heavy depression. For 1,5 years I have spent my time in an institution to recover. I’ve gained so much weight by the well known ’eating emotion chapter’, which occurs quite often during a depression. Yes, I was one of those. After a while, when I moved back to my own place, I changed my diet and I was within no time back in shape.
I’ve come a long way by bringing healthy food together with a lot of exercises. By living this happy life I even lost 33 pounds without any assistance. The decision to keep myself in shape with sports rather came by accident later on. The reason why I was getting so active was because of my health issues. My back was aching a lot and the only solution was working out. I didn’t like to do sports! The smelly sweat and enforcing yourself to go to the gym was no fun at all! But that attitude has changed rapidly, and now this has become my purpose. It is really essential to have a well-fitting sports outfit. Next to comfort it gives you confidence and on top just the extra boost you might need.
Meanwhile, I have been doing exercises at the gym for a year now and that five times a week. I’m eating enough healthy food and this makes me a truly happy person. And to me this is the definition of life. The main aims of me doing strength training is gaining muscle mass and by eating healthy food I will nourish my body in a hearty way. And once in a while the cheat meals will help you stick to your diet plan. My love for sports kept on growing and this is now what I call life.
To conclude my story with a good tip for my dear followers and readers will be, everything will fall in the right place step by step. There is no miracle cure to become fit, you just need to have patience. To lose weight you need to eat healthy food. Nutrition is the most important facet if you want to lose weight and you need to keep this in mind. Therefore you need to eat less than you consume, only then you’ll lose fat. See whatever works for you personally, but nourish your body. Be proud of who you are, even though you know you are not perfect. Have a healthy lifestyle and do keep in mind, you are beautiful!
