Do you have a trip to Ibiza coming up? Or do you have friends you really need to share this list with? Ibiza is a beautiful island and the place to be. Yes, it does attract many tourists during the summer season, but there are still many hidden gems where you can quietly enjoy its gorgeous nature and fascinating culture. Here you will find 10 Instagrammable hot spots that should definitely be on your bucket list.
Tip 1 – Dalt Vila
Want to feel like a true local? Then take a walk up to Dalt Vila, the old part of Ibiza Town. These old, historic city walls stem from the 16th century and surround the old city centre. Wander through the narrow streets, enjoy delicious restaurants and do some shopping in charming boutiques.
Tip 2 – Vivi’s creamery
Are you an ice cream addict too? Then you must visit Vivi’s creamery in Dalt Vila (the old part of Ibiza Town). This ice cream parlour in shades of white and pastel colours offers a myriad of flavours (we don’t know which to choose!) and even vegan ice cream! They also have glass jars with all sorts of toppings for your ice cream. Want to know more? Check out @vivis_creamery_ibiza
Tip 3 – Babylon beach
This is paradise on earth. Who doesn’t want to relax comfortably over a delicious meal, topped off with an amazing view? Tip: make your reservation well in advance, as this hot spot is truly hot and there are only a limited amount of sun beds available. Check out these bikinis from our new collection that would not look out of place here.
Tip 4 – Formentera
Spend a day on the beautiful island of Formentera. The boat trip takes about 30 minutes from Ibiza Town, after which we recommend taking a taxi to Platja de ses Illetes (or rent a scooter/car if you want to see the entire island). This beach has the clearest azure water you’ve ever seen. You’ll be stunned!
Tip 4 – Las Dalias Hippie Market
Are you as big a fan of off-the-shoulder dresses, fringing and ankle bracelets as we are? You can find a lot of great stuff at this hippie market and, fortunately, you can pay by card at many of the stalls if you don’t have enough cash on you. Handy!
Tip 5 – Aubergine Ibiza
Aubergine is one of Ibiza’s restaurants not to be missed! Their slogan “Farm to Table” describes exactly what they do. This small, romantic hot spot is a bit isolated and has only local products on its menu. Everything is fresh and cooked on the spot, which you can taste! Our favourite: the salmon burger with a slice of cheesecake for dessert. Yum!
Tip 6 – Ushuaia
You can’t visit Ibiza without going to at least one big party. We chose Ushuaia. It’s not very cheap (get a discount at Cala Bassa), but you’ll cherish this experience for the rest of your life. It’s a feast for the eyes and you’ll be dancing to the best beats all night long. Tip: it gets very hot very quickly, so bring your own fan and dress lightly. You can also wear a bikini underneath your party outfit, as there is a pool you can dive into to cool off.
Tip 7 – Cala Tarida
Get some rest from all your outings and rent a sun bed at Cala Tarida. The sea is crystal-clear and the sand on the beach as white as snow. Worked up an appetite? Have a delicious lunch and enjoy a range of tapas or bring your own sandwiches if money is running out.
Tip 8 – Sunset Ashram
Sunset Ashram is known for its gorgeous sunsets. You’ll find this beautiful spot at Cala Conta Beach on the west coast of Ibiza. Make sure you’re well on time (around 7 pm), as this place has become very popular amongst tourists.
Tip 9 – Sea Soul Beach Club
In Santa Eulalia you’ll find the Sea Soul Beach Club & Restaurant. There is always a nice little breeze blowing in this bay to keep you cool. Enjoy a delicious (and healthy!) lunch on your sun bed or in the restaurant. Take me back…
Tip 10 – Es Vedra
Es Vedra is one of the Balearic Islands about 2 kilometres off Cala d’Hort on the west coast of Ibiza. This (iconic!) island has been spotted on Instagram many times and did you know that Negin Mirsalehi has had a yoga session with a view of this island? We’re secretly jealous 😉
