Rosa’s unforgettable summer
Ibiza is of course known as the party island, but it offers so much more… After our wonderful holiday experience, we returned bursting with energy and full of fabulous stories that infected our friends with the Ibiza virus!
In 2014 my boyfriend and I again travelled to Ibiza with 7 good friends (5 boys and 4 girls in total). This time we stayed in a gorgeous villa near San Carlos. For two weeks we enjoyed this magical island and toured the whole island on our scooters! Of course, on Europe’s party island the big clubs have to be on your to-do list. So we visited Ushuaïa (totally recommended!), Pacha and Space! Apart from the nightlife, we also went to beautiful beaches like Cala Bassa, Cala Tarida and Cala de Benirrás – where the Hunkemöller bikinis I had bought totally came into its own!
You can admire the most beautiful sunset on the whole island at Cala de Benirrás. Once the sun goes down, ‘real’ hippies start playing their djembés. Magical! We ate at delicious Spanish tapas restaurants, including my favourite eatery in Ibiza town, La Bodega, where they serve scrumptious food at great prices! Finally, the rocky island off Ibiza’s south coast: Es Vedra. There are many legends and myths about this outcrop of rock, including suggestions that there is a strong magnetic field surrounding the island, that it is a landing site for UFOs and even that it is part of Atlantis. Whatever the truth of these claims, Es Vedra is certainly a beautiful sight and well worth a visit! The mix of nightlife and the beautiful beaches and sights made last summer my #unforgettablesummer!
Following these brilliant holidays, this year I am going to this hippie island for the 4th time! This year I am heading for a nice apartment near San Antonio with my boyfriend and two friends. And one thing I know for sure is that it’s going to be another #unforgettablesummer because Ibiza remains one of a kind!
