- Oatmeal apple pie
Oats can do no wrong in my eyes. In a previous article I told you all about the benefits of porridge oats… Heat up some milk and oats in a pan and stir until you see the mixture start to thicken. Take the porridge off the heat and add pieces of apple, cinnamon and raisins. You can come up with thousands of variations to make it tasty, but this has to be one of my favourites.
It doesn’t really get any easier than this… Breakfast is on the table before you know it. Put some low-fat quark and some muesli in a bowl. You can add walnuts, honey and banana to taste.
- Avocado salmon cracker
This breakfast is a real treat! Arrange some slices of avocado on a spelt cracker and sprinkle with a little pepper. After that, lay a slice of salmon on top and you can start enjoying your day!
- Breakfast muffins
Muffins for breakfast? Hell, yeah! And they are healthy too! Plus it’s very easy to make them in advance so that when you’re in a hurry you only have to briefly put them in the microwave. Pre-heat the oven to 175°C and pour a mixture of egg, ground pepper, chopped spinach and pieces of turkey bacon (again: thousands of variations are possible) into a muffin form. Bake them in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Two of these muffins plus a tasty smoothie (for example, one of these) are more than enough for a good, filling breakfast!
With these breakfasts, you will definitely start your day feeling energetic & fit.
Until next week!
